He was succeeded by Harry Lawson, 1913-1916; Viscount Burnham, 1916-1932; Lord Balniel, 1942-1938; The Earl of Crawford, 1938-1942. Viscount Bearstead was appointed chair of trustees in 1942; he was succeeded by Stephen Keynes -1997; Richard Charkin, 1997-
